Religious Education

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

Nelson Mandela

Our Religious Education curriculum aims to provide a broad and balanced study of a variety of religious beliefs, traditions and practices reflected in the world around us. Since the United Kingdom has both a rich and diverse heritage of religion, culture and diversity, we believe our pupils should receive high-quality sequential Religious Education that allows them to explore a range of religions and world views in order to install respect and tolerance for others. Because of this, in line with the Church of England School Statement of Entitlement and through our school values of Love, Trust and Forgiveness, our RE curriculum intends to create a platform where every child can flourish and live life to its fullest (John 10:10).
